Ann received her J.D. degree from Golden Gate University School of Law in 2004. In 2011, Ann established her own private practice in Berkeley after serving as an associate attorney for six years at the Law Office of Laura R. Spease in Oakland, California. Now in her fourth year as a solo practitioner, she cannot imagine doing anything else.

Ann is a two-time past Chair of the Elder Law, Conservatorships & Guardianships Committee of the East Bay Trusts & Estates Lawyers (EBTEL), served on the Board as Secretary in 2014, and is the current acting Vice President. Ann is also looking forward to serving on the Board of Directors for Legal Assistance for Seniors beginning in mid-2015.
